Performances
· Friday, February 25, 6:30-11:00pm. The Mark Tonelli
Group returns to one of its favorite spots, Kirby's-
Southlake. Come out and enjoy some of the best steaks
in the Dallas area and live jazz to go with it.
· Thursday, March 17, 6:00-8:00pm. For St. Patrick’s
Day, The Mark Tonelli Group is performing at the Dallas
Museum of Art, as part of its Jazz in the Atrium Series.
The group will be performing Mark’s original compositions
in a quartet setting. Sponsored by 107.5 The Oasis.
· Friday, April 1, 8:00-10:00pm. Mark will be performing
with the Collin County College
Faculty Jazz Group, with special guests, drummer Greg Bissonette
and saxophonist Denis DeBlasio.
· Friday, May 5, 6:30-11:00pm. If you can’t
catch them in February, you’ve oodles of time to plan
for another evening at Kirby’s- Southlake with The Mark
Tonelli Group.

Publishing
Mark’s transcription of saxophonist Kenny Garrett’s
solo on “Equinox” will be published in the March
issue of Downbeat magazine.
Guitar Player will
publish Mark’s article, “The Fast Track to Bebop
Chops” in the June issue. The article teaches guitarists
an easy method to play bebop lines. The
Instrumentalist magazine invited Mark to write a follow-up
to his October 2003 article on implementing a jazz small group
program. This new article, tentatively titled “Getting
the most out of your jazz combo program,” will discuss
taking the next steps once a combo program has gotten off
the ground.
Education
Mark continues to teach guitar at Collin County College and
North Lake College.
He is accepting a limited number of jazz guitar students at

These are jazz combo arrangements
for varying instrumentations of rhythm section (piano/guitar,
bass, drums) and horns (trumpet, flugelhorn, soprano sax,
alto sax, tenor sax, trombone). Each arrangement includes
a full score, individual parts, lead sheet, solo changes for
each player, performance notes with tips on creating a successful
performance, and a glossary of helpful terms used by jazz
professionals.
